Lack of tornadoes confounds climate change alarmist warnings of extreme weather

Despite dire warnings from climate change alarmists, one measure of ‘extreme weather’ has seen an exceptionally quiet year – tornadoes.  The latest data on tornadoes in the United States from NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center (SPC) shows a distinct lack of one of Mother Nature’s most devastating phenomena in 2013. The measurements, as well as others, have confounded those who have warned that anthropogenic global warming would lead to more devastating natural disasters.

Rumors were swirling like a tornado that Nike was going to be releasing weather-inspired shoes and today the company confirmed the forthcoming shoes. President’s Organizing for Action climate change rally draws no attendees in DC

Photos and video capture rare high altitude funnel cloud near Pikes Peak

When visiting an elevation of 14,114 feet you can expect to see a wide variety of weather conditions. Military deploys firefighters, aircraft to battle exploding Colorado wildfires

Wildfires erupt across Colorado prompting evacuations, burning homes

As the second of two days of record-setting temperatures started to come to a close, the tinder dry landscape in Colorado erupted in flame. Extreme heat shatters four temperature records in two days in Denver

Under a stubborn area of high pressure the Mile High City has been sweltering with unseasonably hot temperatures. The past two days saw four temperature records be broken as the mercury climbed to regions more akin to the middle of summer than June.  Thornton fell just shy of 100° today reaching “only 99°.  Officially though Denver hit the mark.  Read the rest of this story on Examiner.com

Severe weather season had been relatively quiet during the first four months of 2013 but with the arrival of May Mother Nature unleashed her full fury.
