We continue to deal with the same low pressure system and will be for a couple more days. Today, we will see less snow but the cold and clouds continue.
Cloudy skies will be above today with maybe a slight break in the coverage toward sunset. High temperatures will top out in the mid-30s.
As for snow, the bulk of today’s action should be just south of us. However, we could see a half inch to an inch of daytime snow. There is just a slight chance for more should things push up further from the south than currently anticipated.
Tonight, there will be some easing of the cloud cover and some flurries. Lows will be in the mid-20s.
Looking beyond that, another, more potent shot of snow will arrive Friday morning and last into Saturday morning. Current indications are for Thornton to receive 2 to 4 inches during that time but there is potential for more. As a result, a Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the period from dawn tomorrow through mid-Saturday morning.
