Well, Mother Nature was late bringing any winter weather this season but now that she has, she has gone a bit above and beyond. As we mentioned previously, the storm hit stronger and faster than expected and is lingering longer. The end result will be a bigger taste of winter than originally expected.
Cloudy skies and snow will be the rule throughout the daytime hours. Highs will only reach near the freezing mark and with blustery north winds, it will feel much colder.
Snowfall forecasts continue to be a challenge with this system. At this time, we are thinking an addition 1 to 3 inches between now and noon, then, another 1 to 2 inches between noon and midnight tonight. Roads to the west and south are starting to show the effects so please plan accordingly and slow down! A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 11:00pm.
Tonight, light snow will continue intermittently with some light, additional accumulations possible. Overnight lows will dip to around 20 degrees.
