The next slow moving storm system will bring more widespread showers and a few thunderstorms Monday through Tuesday night, gradually decreasing Wednesday. There are relatively high probabilities of beneficial and soaking rainfall across most of the area, with the highest odds in and near the Front Range Foothills. The far northeast plains have lower potential, as well as areas west of the Front Range Mountains. Speaking of which, snow will fall in those higher elevations, with accumulating snow levels expected to start around 10,000 feet Monday afternoon, decreasing to around 8,000 feet by Tuesday night. Some travel impacts will be possible on the eastern slope of the Front Range, including the Peak to Peak Highway and I-70 especially from Georgetown to the Eisenhower Tunnel.
