Record heat is expected today, with temperatures rising into the upper 80's for a majority of the lower elevations, and well into the 70's for the high mountain valleys. Some locations may approach or exceed monthly records for March. Fire danger will be elevated to near-critical, particularly for areas closer to the WY/NE state line.
