A weather disturbance will bring snow showers to the mountains and scattered to numerous rain showers on the plains by this afternoon and evening. A couple thunderstorms will also be possible. A few inches of snow can be expected in most mountain areas above 9,500 feet, with lighter amounts of a dusting to 2" below that. Some slick travel conditions over the higher mountain passes can be expected, mainly early this morning and then again this evening/overnight. Most places on the plains will only see light rainfall and less than a tenth of an inch, although a couple spots on the northeast plains could pick up as much as a half inch.
